A Moment That Inspired Our Vision
In January 2025, we were in our nation's capital for a celebration and visited the Smithsonian. We were captivated by the sight and story of the Great Garrison Flag.
If you haven't seen this flag in person, it is an awe-inspiring sight: 30 feet tall and 42 feet wide, Stars and Stripes, first flown over Fort McHenry after 25 hours of British shelling in heavy rain. The decisive U.S. victory led to the end of the War of 1812.
As the battle ended and the smoke cleared at dawn, Francis Scott Key was so struck by the founding spirit of America that he wrote our national anthem.

As Founder and CEO of Beartooth Radio Inc., a defense technology firm, for more than a decade, Michael brings unparalleled insight into identifying visionary entrepreneurs and recognizing the enduring qualities that define exceptional founder-led businesses.

Lauren Cassidy, CFA

Lauren serves as Chief Investment Officer for the Founders 100 ETF. With over 20 years of fundamental and quantitative equity research experience, she has deep expertise investing across founder-led companies. Lauren covered US and global equities at leading institutions including Sanford Bernstein, Cantillon Capital, and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
She later served as Senior Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Northern Border Investments and Westwood Holdings Group, co-managing Large Cap Quality Value, All Cap Value, and Mid Cap Value strategies. A CFA charterholder, Lauren earned her MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School (Value Investing Program).
